metaLAB (at) Basel Launch

Pub­lic event (hybrid): pre­sen­ta­tions, round­table, exhib­it, fol­lowed by an Apéro.

The event will include con­tri­bu­tions from var­i­ous mem­bers of the meta­L­AB com­mu­ni­ty, as the two exist­ing labs at Har­vard (since 2011) and FU Berlin (2022) will be joined by Basel (2024). The expan­sion of a col­lab­o­ra­tive net­work fos­ters a grow­ing com­mu­ni­ty across peer lev­els, regions and dis­ci­plines. The meta­L­AB (at) Basel is host­ed by the Basel Acad­e­my of Art and Design, Uni­ver­si­ty of Applied Sci­ences and Arts North­west­ern Switzer­land. It is an explorato­ry space for knowl­edge exchange, research and prac­tice between design, tech­nol­o­gy, and the sci­ences, aim­ing to strength­en syn­er­gies between research com­mu­ni­ties, the pub­lic, and cul­tur­al insti­tu­tions.
